The Early Bird Gets the Worm

Now that harvest is over and we are welcoming August with cool temperatures and moisture it is time to start planning for next years wheat crop.  To begin planning it is necessary to evaluate how the wheat crop has done throughout the growing season. Has one variety out performed another? Did one variety work better on a certain soil type? The answer to all of these questions starts with a visit with your Agronomist to do discuss the wheat crop you have just harvest and look forward to seed varieties available to you for next year’s crop. We are currently getting data in from our wheat test plots and will be able to provide good information to help you chose the best seed treatment, fertilizer, variety, and etcetera to get the most profit potential on every acre.
Last year we began a partnership with Kauffman Seed to sell seed wheat. We had a great run last fall and have already started booking orders for this fall. Due to the extreme drought in western Kansas and eastern Colorado, we are being told that seed varieties could be very limited. In order to combat this issue we strongly recommend preordering seed wheat so that we can insure we have the quantity and variety you are looking for. We have already began taking delivery of seed wheat.
